What is Rooted?

and the impact it’s having on her faith journey.
The Fall Rooted Experience will launch on October 1, 2023 at 11:30 AM.
We’re excited to invite you on a journey with us that leads to a deeper understanding of your relationship with God, His Church, and His purpose for you. This fall we continue the life-experience in our church called Rooted. It is a life changing experience for all who participate. It will help you move beyond superficial relationships experienced in this fractured, often isolating, and phony world to genuine relationships in a group grounded in listening, sometimes challenging, and always loving and caring for one another.
If you’re a non-believer, wondering about faith in God, a new believer, a long time believer, or just looking for genuine connections with other people, then join one of our Rooted groups for a life changing experience. No matter where you are in your journey the Rooted experience will be a catalyst for change in your life.
Rooted is more than a Bible study, program, seminar, or small group. In a world that is experiencing a pandemic, racial tensions, political discord, anxiety, isolation, mental health challenges, and emptiness, Rooted offers group experiences designed to help you see God and hear His voice in new and surprising ways, and connect with other people on a similar journey through life. Rooted is a catalyst for life-change.
Rooted is a 10-week experience that is most effective if every participant attends weekly and misses no more than two meetings. The suggested registration fee for Rooted is $25 per person. Scholarships are available.
This is one of the most important experiences that we do here at Abiding Savior so you don’t want to miss it, especially if you are new to Abiding Savior or new to your relationship with God.

WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO CONTRIBUTE FOR MY ROOTED EXPERIENCE?
Rooted is a 10-week experience.
- You will receive a book with content specifically developed with a Lutheran perspective with the weekly material in it at the first session.
- There are three events that involve a meal that your payment will help cover as well.
- Childcare is provided and the caregiver is compensated. We know you may not need childcare and appreciate that you help us provide it for those who do so that they can participate in the Rooted experience.
- We provide scholarships for those who need assistance so that everyone who wants to participate can do so.
Your support of this important life-experience is greatly appreciated.
IS CHILDCARE AVAILABLE FOR ROOTED?
Childcare is available during the Rooted sessions. It is important that you sign up for childcare on the Rooted registration form. Please let us know if your childcare needs change during your Rooted experience, even if it is week-to-week. Please email rooted@abidingsavior.com if your childcare needs change.
HOW DO I REGISTER IF I NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?
We want everyone to be able to participate in the Rooted experience. If the cost of registering is a hindrance please let us know. You can indicate that financial assistance would be helpful during the registration process. You can also email rooted@abidingsavior.com if you have questions.
WHEN DO I GET MY MATERIALS?
You will receive your workbook the first time you meet together with your group. Your leader will have your material and walk you through how to use it.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I HAVE TO MISS A WEEK?
We know that 10 weeks is a commitment and that there are often prior commitments during that span of weeks. If you know you will have to miss more than 2 of the 10 weeks please plan to join us at another time we offer the Rooted Experience. Please let your Facilitator know if you will need to miss a session so s/he can plan accordingly.
