Abiding Savior Lutheran Preschool is offering an eight-week Christ-centered, developmental, fun-filled summer session beginning June 17 with two different options, including Preschool Camp and Kindergarten Readiness Camp. Both of our camp options offer weekly themes, music, science, outdoor discoveries, art, and weekly water-play days. Our Kindergarten Readiness Camp is for all children entering Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten in the fall. Kindergarten Readiness Camp is a bridge from our play-based program to the more structured setting of Kindergarten. This option has an added focus on small group work, phonics, handwriting, and math, including the use of manipulatives. Each child will receive the Handwriting Without Tears – Get Set For School Workbook.
If you are interested, please fill out the Summer Camp interest form. The camp will begin Monday, June 17th, and end Friday, August 9th. The camp will be available for a total of eight weeks. We will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, observing the Independence Day holiday as well as Friday, July 5th. Additionally, we will be closed from August 12th to 23rd for planning and cleaning. Preschool will open for the 2024-2025 School Year on August 27th.
We will be offering a half-day camp from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., a school day camp from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., or an all-day camp from 7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Your selections can be for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days of the week and any number of the available weeks as long as we have availability.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in our 2024 Summer Camp, please fill out the interest form. Once we open registration, we will send you the registration form which you will need to submit with the registration fee of $75 to secure your spot. The first payment for weeks 1-3 will be due by June 1; the second payment for weeks 4-6 will be due by July 1; the third payment for weeks 7 and 8 will be due July 22. Payment is to be made by session for the weeks your child will attend during that session. Because we staff according to the number of children expected for a given week, we must know when to expect your child as soon as possible. We will charge your account through FACTS for the days and weeks you have registered your child. Because of planning requirements, credits cannot be issued. If you are new to our center, you will need the forms required by the State of California, Community Care Licensing Division which will be emailed to you at the time of registration.
We have limited space in the Summer Camp program, so if you are interested in having your child participate in the camp experience, please get your registration form and fee in as soon as possible.
