Abiding Savior Lutheran School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and National Lutheran Schools Association (NSLA). We received our six year accreditation term in 2016, the highest term of accreditation that the organization grants.
WASC works collaboratively with the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA). WASC and the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) have developed a single integrated document that embraces the high quality of WASC accreditation with an integrated and intentional study of the Lutheran cultural identity of schools operating in The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
What is accreditation?
Accreditation is a voluntary dual-purpose process that schools must be worthy of the trust placed in them to provide high-quality learning opportunities and clearly demonstrate continual self-improvement.
An accredited school is focused on a mission and goals for students; it is student-oriented and examines its students’ performance continuously; it accepts objective evaluation from a team of outside peer professionals trained by WASC; it maintains a qualified faculty within an effectively organized school; it collaboratively assesses the quality of its educational programs on a regular basis; and it plans for the future.
